Built to Endure Irish Elements

The core strength of The Waterford lies in its premium raw materials: kiln-dried Northern European Spruce. Grown in freezing northern climates, this timber develops at a fraction of the rate of standard wood, creating exceptionally narrow, tight annual rings. This natural density makes the timber incredibly hard, highly load-bearing, and uniquely resistant to warping under Ireland's damp and humid conditions.

Engineered with traditional interlocking log technology, the factory-machined joints fit together seamlessly to form a highly rigid, draft-free, and weather-sealed garden sanctuary.

Assembly, Base & Long-Term Care Guidelines

The Waterford is designed for a straightforward and rewarding build. With clear, detailed instructions and millimeter-perfect factory cuts, components slot together smoothly with no complex on-site adjustments required—making it an ideal project for DIY enthusiasts.

To ensure maximum longevity, the cabin must always be constructed on a dedicated additional base structure to facilitate optimal under-floor airflow and protect against rising damp. (Please note: a timber floor is not included with this model, allowing you to customize your base or interior flooring finish). During assembly, treat the tongue-and-groove joints with a clear wood primer, followed by a full coat inside and out. Once cured (24–48 hours), complete the exterior with two coats of high-grade wood stain or opaque paint. Regular top-coats will preserve its beauty, especially for coastal properties exposed to salty sea winds.

Please note: Due to the stylish low pitch of its contemporary flat roof, traditional roof shingles are not suitable for this model. For absolute waterproof protection against heavy rain, we recommend a dual-layer system featuring a glass-fleece reinforced V13 bitumen underlay topped with galvanized, coated steel trapezoidal sheets, or a high-performance, single-sheet EPDM roofing membrane (both available in custom-measured sets in our accessories section).
