Cultivated in freezing northern latitudes, the timber matures slowly, resulting in exceptionally tight, narrow annual growth rings. This natural density makes the wood exceptionally hard, highly load-bearing, and naturally resistant to warping over time. Engineered using a traditional interlocking log system, the factory-milled components slot together tightly to form a rigid, draft-free, and thoroughly weather-sealed sanctuary.

Setup, Care, and Maintenance

The Dublin is engineered for a quick, straightforward build. Thanks to millimeter-perfect factory precision, there is absolutely no on-site cutting or sawing required; the profiles simply slot together and screw into place smoothly, making it a highly rewarding project for DIY enthusiasts.

Unlike many models, both the roof and floor are included in your delivery. To ensure your suite stands the test of time, it should always be erected on a dedicated, treated substructure to facilitate optimal under-floor airflow and protect against rising damp. We recommend treating the tongue-and-groove joints with a clear wood primer during assembly, followed by a full coat of primer inside and out. Once cured (24-48 hours), complete the exterior with two coats of high-grade, open-pore wood stain or opaque paint. For the ultimate defense against Atlantic rain and wind, we strongly advise a dual-layer roofing system: a base layer of glass-fiber reinforced V13 bitumen underlay, topped with premium slate-effect shingles or heavy-duty galvanized steel roof tile profiles.
